Here's When You Can Start Playing Mega Man Games On Your Mobile Devices
Mega Man games were practically made for mobile and handheld enjoyment, so Capcom’s decision to release the first six Mega Man games for the Nintendo Entertainment System is an understandable one. It’s also an awesome one, since you’ll get to carry around all six games with you if you happen to own an Android or iOS device. There’s finally a release date out for when we can expect to see the games, however.
The games will be releasing in the US on January 5, which is this week. If you’re interested in trying them out on mobile, be sure to come back and check out our reviews when the games become available and we can give them all a fair shake. The initial footage seen in the first trailer we were given didn’t seem especially smooth, but hopefully some improvements have been made in the interim. Either way, this is great news, especially for Mega Man fans.
Each game will run you $1.99 if you want to collect them all, and they have been optimized for mobile play.Hopefully this is also the start for eventually seeing all the excellent Mega Man games on the platform, including favorites like Mega Man X and more. Pipe dreams? Probably. But as they say in the storied McDonald's commercials from the '90s, "Hey, it could happen."
