The Miraxess Mirabook Makes Your Smartphone Into a Laptop
The Mirabook adds an external display, keyboard, and storage to make your smartphone a fully featured laptop.
The Mirabook by Miraxess will let you turn a compatible phone into a full-featured laptop. On the outside, it looks like a regular laptop with a 13.3-inch screen. However, you have to connect a smartphone to the Mirabook via USB-C before you can use it as a computer.
The Mirabook not only allows you to use your phone as a laptop, but it also features an SD slot to expand storage space up to 128 GB. The Mirabook's integral battery can charge your phone and power the laptop screen for up to 24 hours, which is much better than any standard laptop. However, to emulate a full desktop onto the Mirabook, you need to use Andromium for Android or Continuum for Microsoft. Otherwise, you’ll be restricted to a blown up interface matching your regular phone’s screen.
Miraxess is gauging public interest in the Mirabook currently and plans to launch a crowdfunding campaign in March or April 2017. If successful, Miraxess intends to offer the Mirabook for $300 USD.
