New Augmented Reality ghost busting game has a ton of ectoplasmic potential.

Before going to bed each night, we kneel before the video game gods and pray that Majesco's upcoming 3DS adventure, The Hidden, won't turn out to be a train wreck.

Bottom line, we want this Augmented Reality effort to make a huge impact on Nintendo's system, largely because few companies have put the handheld's cameras to good use.

In the game, you play as a G.E.I.S.T. (Ghostly Entity Investigation Strike Team) agent that sets off to rid the "real world" of dangerous apparitions you can only see by viewing everyday surroundings through the 3DS top screen. From there, it's your job to track down, capture and destroy whatever ghosts appear.

OK, so we don't actually pray for this game's greatness. We just hope it's worth playing, and not a digital form of torture.

Anyway, The Hidden debuts November 3, and Majesco has a new trailer that you'll find below.
