The games to watch out for when the clock strikes midnight.
In just a few hours we'll be able to get our hands on a fresh crop of App Store games, but which ones are worth keeping an eye out for? We've picked out the upcoming mobile games we're most keen to get our hands on.
Kingdom Rush Frontiers
A new Kingdom Rush game will hit the App Store in a mere matter of hours, and while the game sticks to its tower-defense roots, there are plenty of new features to get excited about. This time around, you can expect to get stuck into new jungle, desert and underworld battles, and there are loads of new tower types and abilities to enjoy. We'll have our review of the game for you tomorrow.
For those who prefer a different sort of strategy title, this sequel to the original Cubemen includes all of the fast-paced action existing fans have come to expect. As well as a singleplayer campaign, you'll also be able to do battle online with up to 5 other players, in a variety of different game modes.
Jewel Thieves: Knight's Armor
Match-three and proud of it, Jewel Thieves is shaping up to be a solid gem-matching puzzle game. There are 90 levels to work your way through, and three different gameplay modes to keep the matching action fresh. This free to play game features leaderboard enhancing boosters, so we'll have to see if there's an IAP sting here before getting too excited.
We're not sure if describing a game's levels as having "hundreds of different solutions" suggests the tightest design in the world, but we're giving Chestnut Games the benefit of the doubt until we get our hands on Kyubo. The game combines precision platforming with strategy to offer up something that certainly looks a little different from the typical App Store puzzler.
