Sony Delays PSP Microphone and Skype on PSP in Japan

Skyper, No Skyping

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan announced today that the PSP microphone accessory and Skype on PSP will be delayed indefinitely.

Sony originally planned to release the PSP microphone and Skype on PSP this Thursday. However, the microphone failed to meet Skype specifications and was unable to obtain a certification.

Therefore, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan decided to delay the release of the accessory in addition to postponing Skype on PSP. No announcement has been made regarding a possible delay for the rest of the world but you can probably assume it will be imminent.
