Guitar Hero III Mobile Wins Awards, Breaks Sales Records

Party like a rock star...
No surprise here. Guitar Hero III Mobile looks like a huge success for Hands-on Mobile.
The game has won two categories at the 7th annual BREW 2008 Developer Awards: one in Best Game Application and another in People's Choice Award.
Winning over critics won't mean a thing for the publisher if people won't buy the game. Fortunately for Hands-on Mobile, Guitar Hero III Mobile is breaking sales records. The game has been downloaded nearly 1 million times across all carriers (including monthly subscription).
"Fans of the Guitar Hero console games have been very impressed with the title's translation onto BREW handsets," said David White, chief executive officer of Hands-On Mobile. "Guitar Hero III Mobile has opened the eyes of a whole new group of consumers to the world of mobile games."
