reMovem Review

Lots of touch screen poking, multi-colored balls, fun to play in short bursts, free.
Not much depth, only one game mode, gets boring fast.
< href="http://www.modojo.com/games/iphone/removem/">ReMovem, formerly known as JawBreaker, is a free iPhone puzzle game that challenges you to group and eliminate similarly colored blocks by tapping them, the goal to score the most points before running out of turns. If you love touching balls (and who doesn't) it'll keep you entertained for a little while.
At the start of the game, you see a playfield full of multicolored balls. Tapping balls of the same color highlights them and displays the point value you'll gain if you destroy them. Tapping again makes them disappear and causes the balls on top to fall in place, thus giving you more opportunities to score. The trick is eliminating them in such a way that you clear the board, a difficult proposition since it requires some brainpower. Do it correctly, however, and you'll gain a 200 point bonus.
Unfortunately, that's all reMovem has to offer. The game only has one mode and it doesn't become progressively harder. Destroying all of the balls takes time, but after doing it once, a repeat performance isn't necessary.
To that end, this game is more of a one trick pony, a curiosity that everyone should download (since it's free), but not nearly as feature packed or addictive as Tetris, Bejeweled 2 and Diamond Twister. Let's hope its publisher, Mundue, adds some new modes in a future upgrade.
