Puzzle and Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition Receives Demo on April 30
Puzzle and Dragons is already a super popular series, and it's poised to reach new heights with the release of Puzzle and Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition. Gameplay will be similar to the previous mobile iterations in the series, but with even more RPG elements including NPCs and towns.
Gameplay will feature a Mario themed story, beginning with Bowser's typical whisking away of Princess Peach. The combination of fast-paced puzzle-based gameplay along with standard turn-based RPG battle elements looks like a blast, as does creating a specialized team of venerable Mario characters to take down the opposition.
The game is actually a spin-off of a Japan-only spin-off of the mobile series entitles Puzzle and Dragons Z, which is the basis of the gameplay of Puzzle and Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition. May 22 will be Western gamers first chance to get their hands on Puzzle and Dragons Z, and Puzzle and Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition will be available the same day. The titles will also be available in a combo pack, but pricing information has not been released yet.
If you just can't wait till May 22 though, Nintendo has your pack. A special demo of Puzzle and Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition will be available on the eShop on April 30.
I know what I'll be doing that weekend.
