Here's Eight Minutes of Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden
Arc System Works' upcoming 3DS brawler looks like it's a credit to the series.
Bandai Namco has just released a brand new video chock-full of footage about the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden, and it's eight minutes of Akira Toriyama's brand of shounen schlock and silliness. That means it's going to be right up my alley.
The Arc System Works-developed 3DS fighter is headed for a June 11 release in Japan, and there hasn't yet been confirmation of a Western version, but given Dragon Ball Z's rampant popularity that seems very much a given at this point, especially considering the fact that this is another fighter. It's even got Goku's new Super Saiyan God form, which is way too much badassery for me.
The video itself shows off character selection between different combatants, as well as the fact that you can bring people in for support and you can assemble teams by using Dragon Power. Both "Ultimate" and "Final Combos" are shown off here as well, which look pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.
We'll keep you updated with additional news as it comes through, but know that Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden already looks excellent. Hopefully we can expect good things from it.
