Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure Releasing For 3DS on June 11
Today's Nintendo Micro Direct brought several surprises with it, including an official release date for Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure. The upcoming reboot for the classic puzzler will be available in North America and Europe via the 3DS eShop on June 11, and will feature several new modes of play.
Including a new look for both Dr. Mario and Dr. Luigi, you can expect to see the classic Dr. Mario mode, Dr. Luigi mode featuring L-shaped capsules for an even more frustrating time with fitting capsules where they should go, and Virus Buster mode. You can also see "Miracle Cure" items, which act as a panacea to cure any sort of status effects one player might have placed upon the other and will activate several different virus-eradicating powers.
You can go ahead and pre-purchase the game if you'd like via the eShop. I'm personally very excited for the news as a longtime Dr. Mario fan, and it's a very colorful and entertaining alternative to Tetris. It's good to see such a swift announcement for the West so soon after yesterday's bushel of Japanese announcements, too.
Will you be ready to take out some pesky viruses with Dr. Mario and Dr. Luigi?
