Metroid Prime: Federation Force Is The First Metroid DS Title In Quite A While
Remember Metroid Prime: Hunters? Yeah. That was a long time ago.
It's been quite a while since the last Metroid game made its debut on the original DS. Now, in 2016, Metroid Prime: Federation Force is headed to 3DS. It's almost like we're experiencing the cycle of the original DS all over again.
Metroid Prime: Federation Force is a four-player co-op title where players will be tackling missions set in the expanded Metroid Prime universe. Players will be able to connect with each other online or locally, where they'll strap themselves into mech suits and work as a team to eliminate threats in enemy's bases. There's also a special mode known as Metroid Prime: Blast Ball, which is a three-on-three game that finds players taking turns attempting to get a ball into their opponent's goal.
This is an interesting departure for the Metroid series, and while it's not true to form or anything, it still sounds like it could be an exciting option for gamers who prefer their multiplayer titles on the go or appropriate for co-op sessions. It'll be fun to see how the game turns out.
