First Look: Rengoku 2
The cybernetic androids return on the PSP
Some of you might remember Konami's Rengoku: The Tower of Purgatory for the PSP as the unique action game where players took control of a combative android that could mount guns to its head. And if you're wondering how something like a mountable-head-gun could possibly get any cooler, our first look at the game's sequel should fill you in.
Rengoku 2, as its tentatively called, tells a story parallel to the events of Tower of Purgatory, having players assume the role of a battle android named A.D.A.M. Trapped within a mysterious tower, A.D.A.M must go through each of the eight floors, purging the mechanical scourge hosted within.
A large, high-tech arsenal of firearms, explosives, and melee weapons will become available as you progress through the tower. Players can check out an assortment of new multiplayer options, such as four-man ad hoc wireless combat, game sharing, and even downloadable content providing new maps, weapons, and items.
Look for Rengoku 2 on the PSP sometime this summer. Expect some hands-on impressions in the near future, so stick around.
