Final Fantasy Explorers Confirmed for Western Release
Final Fantasy may rise in the East, at least it settles in a final location.
Square Enix has been sharing the love with Western audiences lately and it's continuing the trend by bringing Final Fantasy Explorers to North America and Europe this January.
Final Fantasy Explorers is a action RPG for the Nintendo 3DS that focuses on co-op play with up to four players. It featuers a party system much like the Final Fantasy Tactics job system which will allow players to choose between over 20 jobs.
The main goal is to defeat monsters, then recuit them to battle. You'll also be able to summon eidolons like Shiva and Ifrit, and the game will also feature a Trance mode where players will be able to transform into legendary characters from previous Final Fantasy games.
The story teaser Square Enix released is:
"The world is on the brink of war over its reserves of crystals, the planet's chief source of power. Players must band together to form an elite squad of Explorers on an island rich in crystals, braving hordes of monsters in hopes of conquering a newly discovered Grand Crystal - every Explorer's dream."
Although Japanese gamers have had the game since December of last year. Those in North America will finally get a chance to play the game on January 26, 2016. I can't wait!
