New PSX Models To Contain PSP Compatibility
The hybrid console is not as dead as some might've thought...
Contrary to various rumors being spread over the last month that Sony's PSX had stopped production indefinitely, the company has today announced the launch of two new versions of the hardware.
The DESR-5700 and DESR-7700 models will provide only one major added feature over their previous conterparts: the ability to output video onto Memory Sticks in a format that the PSP can read. Essentially meaning that consumers will be able to record and watch television on their PSPs using the PSX.
Aside from this new feature, the PSX seems to be completely unchanged, with hard drive sizes and other functionality all remaining intact. No announcement has currently been made on a price change, either.
