Dragon Quest Monsters on the DS
The long-speculated title finally revealed
Scheduled for a first showing on June 12, it seems that information on a new Dragon Quest title is not something that can be held under wraps for very long. Dragon Quest Monsters Joker was revealed today for the Nintendo DS, with first screens available in Japanese magazine Shonen Jump.
From the look of things, famed artist Akira Toriyama will be back at the helm of character designer for the game, with a spikey grey-haired young man taking on the role of the main character. On his left hand is a ring which symbolizes his title of being the master of the monsters, of whom he'll recruit and raise throughout the game.
The game appears to have a graphical style very similar to that of Dragon Quest VIII seen on the PlayStation 2, sporting impressive 3D graphics and a cel-shaded look.
Currently, Dragon Quest Monsters Joker for the Nintendo DS is without an official release date. We'll keep you posted with any new information as it becomes available, so be sure to check back soon.
