That New Mean Girls Game Is Finally Out
It's a far cry from the puzzle game that originally came out.
Mean Girls is one of those cult classics that nearly everyone has seen. It's not an especially good movie or anything, but it's ubiquitous in that everyone goes around quoting it tirelessly, especially in social circles where pedestrian humor is popular. However, with that said, I found myself really enjoying Mean Girls: Senior Year, which is available now in the App Store and on Google Play.
Rather than just another terrible puzzle game, Mean Girls: Senior Year is an interesting take on the genre that works as a sequel to the popular movie, allowing players to create their own character to navigate North Shore High and go toe to toe with the one and only Regina George. It's based on the Episode engine, which empowers creators to make and publish their own text-based narratives. It's actually a lot of fun, and despite the fact that the story isn't yet complete just yet, it's worth picking up for the decent production values and spot-on scripting with plenty of Mean Girls Easter Eggs fans will eat right up.
