DS Lite Buyer's Guide
So you finally broke down and bought a DS, eh? Welcome to the fold. Check inside to see which of the hyped-up games deserved the hype, and which you should pass on. We've prepared the perfect DS library for you...
So there you have it. If you followed our advice, to go along with your shiny new DS Lite you'll have a varied and rewarding "base" of titles including Trauma Center, Mario Kart, Advance Wars, and Kirby. You'll also have avoided some of the overhyped titles like Nintendogs, WarioWare Touched, and Super Princess Peach. Where you go from here is entirely up to your own taste. Metroid Prime Pinball is surprisingly good, and adventure fans might want to consider Konami's Lost in Blue, despite its flaws.
This guide wasn't meant to be fully comprehensive - puzzle fans should be sure to give Meteos a hard look, and RPG fans should think about adding Mario & Luigi 2 to their library, for starters. The DS has turned into a monster of a system, so we just wanted to shed some clarity onto the system's surprisingly expansive line-up. If you disagree with our choices and want to sound off, by all means we want to hear from you. Use the comment form on the right to share your own thoughts on the DS's top-tier titles.
