Sorry, Gameloft Won't Be Doing Premium Titles Anymore
It's strictly F2P going forward.
Gameloft, massive mobile publisher as it is, has been leaning in a free-to-play direction for quite some time, but when the company decided to release games at premium prices, things actually worked out pretty well. Unfortunately, it looks like that will no longer be the case going forward, as Gameloft has finally come out and said to a fan that there will no longer be any premium titles coming from Gameloft in the future. That's it. All of their games will be free-to-play from now on.
It's frustrating to think that there are only opportunities for freemium currency and games going forward, but by the same token perhaps with only a focus on F2P titles, there will be deeper, more complex titles ahead. It's interesting that this is the chosen direction mobile creators are going to go in, and one wonders how many others will be following suit in the future.
@TonySshy Sorry, we are not producing premium titles anymore. All our future games will be F2P- Gameloft (@Gameloft_DE) April 4, 2016
