No April Foolin': This Powerpuff Girls Game Is Actually Fun
It's not often that licensed games are worth picking up and giving a try, especially those attached to franchises like cartoons. Cartoon Network is pretty okay with this, as the record will show, but the name doesn't always guarantee a good game is going to come attached with the property. Powerpuff Girls Flipping Out, however, is an excellent game, and absolutely worth playing.
True, it's a match-3 game, but what makes it so engaging is the fact that you can change between portrait or landscape mode however you want to change your device and swap between a fighting game and a matching game at your discretion. You can use each Powerpuff Girl to attack enemies on screen, or you can match the enemies you find yourself facing to rack up points. It's the same familiar Powerpuff Girls you might have grown up with, too, even though the girls have new voices and slightly new looks.
The idea that you can play essentially two different games in one makes Flipping Out a serious contender, so if you're planning on watching the new Powerpuff Girls series and want to play an fantastic tie-in game to go with it, you really can't go wrong with this one.
