Katamari, Goldeneye, and AoE for DS
Namco's cult hit and EA's FPS were recently announced...
Official Nintendo magazine Nintendo Power has recently revealed a list of forthcoming games for the Nintendo DS in its latest issue, including unannounced versions of Katamari Damacy, Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings and GoldenEye: Rogue Agent.
The mention of Katamari Damacy should come as a pleasant surprise to Nintendo DS owners, as the game remains a cult classic amongst the PS2 library. No specific details other than mention of the game's existence were given, as it appears Namco is currently not prepared to comment on it further. Other previously confirmed Namco games listed were Baten Kaitos, XenoSaga and Pac'n Roll.
Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings and GoldenEye: Rogue Agent were more elaborated on, however. Age of Empires is said to be a port of the second game in the series, and is due out from Majesco in the US in Q4 of this year. It reportedly features 5 civilisations, 15 building types, more than 50 units, a combat advisor to help plan tactics, and wireless multiplayer for four players. GoldenEye: Rogue Agent uses its top screen for first-person shooting, while the bottom serves as a HUD, similar to Metroid Prime Hunters. According to Ninendo Power it will support up to eight player wireless multiplay, and should see a release in June.
