Pac-Man World 3 Comes to PSP
Pac-Man will be making yet another handheld appearence...
Namco Hometek Inc. announced that the PSP will be home to the company's third installment of the Pac-Man World series. Commemorating Pac-Man's 25th anniversary, Pac-Man World 3 features many of the classic characters and features which made the original Pac-Man such a hit in the 1980s.
Executive Vice President of Namco Hometek Inc voiced his hopes for the upcoming title: "Pac-Man helped launch video games into the mainstream, and as he turns 25 this year, we are happy to see that he continues to have an enduring appeal." Creator of Pac-Man, Toru Iwatani, stated, "Like all of us, Pac-Man has evolved over the years, changing with the times. People love Pac-Man because he's simple and cute and most important FUN."
Using Power Pellets, Pac-Dots, Pac-Chains and power-up fruit, Pac-Man must attempt to thwart the evil genius, Erwin, from merging the Spectral realm of ghost with the real world. Familiar faces from the Pac-Man universe will make an appearance, including Pinky and Clyde, who are both playable characters.
Pac-Man World 3 is expected to release on the PSP some time during the fall.
