Rainbow Six Vegas on the PSP
Ubisoft brings the next-gen shooter to the handheld scene
First unveiled for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Ubisoft announced today that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas will also be available on the PSP. The squad-based action title is being developed by the company's Quebec City studio, and is currently scheduled to arrive in stores holiday 2006.
The story of the handheld game plays parallel to its next-gen console counterparts, featuring exclusive new content and characters. The single player mode will have players switching between Brian Armstrong and Shawn Rivers, a field operative and a sniper respectively.
A new control system is being implemented, tailored specifically for the PSP. Players can build up their stats to unlock an assortment of exclusive Rainbow Six Vegas content, such as concept art and a new Terrorist Hunt mode.
Multiplayer features include five-player Ad Hoc or online play in either Survival or Team Survival modes, with six different maps to choose from.
We'll have more information on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas for the PSP as it becomes available, so stay tuned.
