Coded Arms Slated for Europe
A possible PSP launch title for Europeans? Could be...
Konami of Europe announced today that they will release Coded Arms for Sony's PSP handheld video game system this summer. The fast-paced first-person shooter title is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated games for the new system, with exceptionally beautiful 3D environments and special effects.
The game takes place in an abandoned Virtual Reality system, originally conceived as a training simulation to help mankind prepare for alien invasion. Suddenly shutting down one day, the system becomes self-aware and creates a horrific virtual world populated by hostile alien races. As a hacker, players must venture into this bizarre VR world and cleanse it of its inhabitants.
A vast array of hi-tech weaponry will be available, including machine guns, pulse cannons, and sniper rifles. The game will also take advantage of the PSP's wireless capabilities, allowing up to four players to compete against one another.
Coded Arms will be released in Q3, 2005 for the PSP in both North America and Europe. For an more in-depth analysis of the game, check out Modojo's preview of Coded Arms.
