MoFactor Brings Golo Golf Dice to Mobile
Based on the addicting table top + PC Game...
Mobile game developer & publisher MoFactor announced this week the release of GOLO Golf Dice, based on the table top and PC game of the same name. The game features solo play, vs. CPU play, and networked head-to-head multiplayer.
The mobile game is under exclusive worldwide license from original GOLO creator Los Gatos, California based Front9, Inc. GOLO's retail release has sold 300,000 copies since its release in 2000. A web version of the game is playable at igolo.com.
"Cell phones are a natural extension of the GOLO franchise and I'm confident that game will be very popular with mobile players." Patrick Shea, President of Front9 Inc said in a statement. "We're also excited to be teaming up with Mofactor. They are the best at what they do: creating great games that are easy and fun to play on mobile phones."
The rules of GOLO are unsurprisingly simple. Roll the nine dice, select the lowest numbers, & re-roll the rest until you have selected all nine dice to complete nine holes. The total of your selected dice make up your score for the round. The hook is deciding when a number is low enough to be selected.
