Hudson Announces Chew Man Fu for Mobile, Wii

Hudson Entertainment announced today that its TurboGrafx-16 classic puzzler Chew Man Fu is headed to both mobile phones and the Nintendo Wii virtual console. The mobile release has been modernized, while the Wii version is a straight port of the original 1990 title.

In Chew Man Fu, gamers are tasked with rolling four colored balls onto the tile that matches each ball's respective color, while avoiding enemies. The catch is that each ball has its own unique properties, with only one being able to break through certain walls, for example.

The mobile release has contains new graphics and sound, and updated music. All 50 levels are also new, and have been "optimized for cell phones, with levels designed specifically for mobile screens."

"Chew Man Fu represents an era of gameplay during which Hudson established itself as a creator of fun games that were easy to pick up and play, and also appealed to a wide range of gamers," said John Greiner, president of Hudson Entertainment. "With such a fantastic catalog of games released over the last 30 years, Hudson is in a great position to bring back some of these classics to a whole new generation of gamers."

Hudson has previous had success bringing other catalogue titles to mobile including Super Adventure Islands, Military Madness, and Bonk.
