Exit Games Raises $4.6 million
Mobile multiplayer solutions company Exit Games announced recently that it has raised a fresh round of financing totaling $4.6 million from Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI), Neuhaus Partners and smac partners. The funding is primarily intended to help drive the company's international growth.
"The clear focus and the strong position of Exit Games in the US and Europe confirm that the company is well prepared for the imminent growth in mobile and online gaming. We are pleased to support the company's experienced team as Exit Games expands the mobile gaming market and addresses new markets and territories", Richard Sarnoff, President of Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments said in a statement.
Exit Games announced the latest version of its white-label Neutron mobile multiplayer platform at GDC. Neutron provides developers a feature-set for network mobile multiplayer functionality.
"Exit Games Neutron has been enhanced to accommodate the next level of connected gaming between a mobile phone and PC, including support for the widest possible range of consumer handsets," Tom Sperry, CEO of Exit Games USA said in a statement. "Real-time features combined with multi-platform connectivity take advantage of existing 3G networks, which offers huge benefits to developers and publishers for creating rich, connected content."
