Superscape Announces New 'Ultimate Reversi' Mobile Game
SAN CLEMENTE, California, March 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Superscape Group plc announces the launch of a new mobile game, Ultimate Reversi, based on the classic board game.
In the mobile version of this two-player logic game, players take it in turns to move black and white coloured counters. The objective of the game is to have the most pieces of your colour on the board by the end of the game. Players place one of their own pieces on an empty square on the board to 'capture' at least one of their opponent's pieces. Pieces can be captured in a row or several rows, horizontally, vertically or diagonally. All captured opponent pieces are then flipped over to become the colour of the other player.
Reversi is believed to have been invented by two Englishmen in the 1880s, and was first published in Germany in 1898. Also know as Othello, the current game is typically played according to rules developed in Japan in the 1970s.
Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc said: "This is a great game to bring to a mobile phone. It is easy to learn to play, and yet the strategy involved to win can take, as is often quoted, 'a lifetime' to master. I believe that this game will have wide appeal across the generations, and across the continents."
