Namco Releases Four Mobile Titles
Two RPGs, an arcade racer, and a FPS...only in Japan
Namco Hometek Inc. has released four new mobile phone titles in Japan; Xenosaga Mobile, Tales of Breaker, Ridge Racer, and Time Crisis Mobile.
Xenosaga Mobile is an RPG taking place 100 years before the events of the first two episodes in the Xenosaga series. It features the same basic battle mechanics as the console games, implementing a much more simplified control scheme. The game is divided into 6 chapters, which can each be downloaded for 525 yen.
Tales Breaker is an RPG based off of Namco's hit Tales series, featuring a unique style of turn-based combat. Players will go on a quest to explore the world, coming across a variety of interesting characters and events during their travels. Similarly to Xenosaga Mobile, the game is divided into chapters running at 525 yen per download.
Ridge Racer mobile version is essentially a ported iteration of the title released on both the Sony PSP and the Nintendo DS. It is a 3D arcade racer, featuring four different game modes with four available cars.
Time Crisis Mobile is a 3D shooter based off the arcade light gun version. In this game, players must enter in the correct numbers displayed on screen in order to shoot or take action.
All titles are available exclusively on the Vodafone mobile phone in Japan. Unfortunately, any possible US release is currently unknown.
