Naruto Movie Gets a UMD Release

Aniplex Inc. announced at the Tokyo Animation Show this past weekend that they will release a UMD version, a new medium which is currently available exclusively on the Sony PSP, of the Naruto movie.
Fans of Japanese animation should be undoubtedly familiar with the immensely popular Naruto franchise. Both the UMD and DVD versions of the movie will contain an assortment of bonuses, such as promotions videos, commercials, a no-credit ending, and a special feature on the conversion to the DVD format. Furthermore, a special art book will also be included with both versions; however the UMD will not come with the added figurine the DVD set contains.
The UMD version of the Naruto movie is slated for a release alongside its DVD counterpart on April 28 2005 for a price of 4,935 yen. Currently there has been no word on a release for anywhere outside of Japan.
