BREW: I-Play Acquires Jenga License
I-Play announced today that it has acquired the mobile rights to popular brick-stacking tabletop game Jenga. The title is not due until the first half of 2008, and will offer "a wide variety of game modes beyond casual play," for the (presumably) hardcore Jenga audience.
"Jenga's universal appeal and accessibility makes this game a perfect fit for mobile gamers who represent a broad age demographic and even split across both genders. We hope that gamers of all ages will be able to enjoy this game as a family, with their kids," I-Play Senior Vice President for Content Strategy & Publishing Leighton Webb said in a statement.
Console and handheld iterations of the 25-year-old game are also in development and will be released in time for the 2007 holiday season.
