Namco Reveals New Details on Shogun Warrior DS
Everyone wants to be Shogun
Namco announced today details on their upcoming real-time strategy game, Shogun Warrior: the Lost Army for the Nintendo DS. Utilizing the DS's touch screen and wireless capabilities, up to eight players will be able to compete against each other in feudal wars.
Playing as one of two battle-trained brothers, gamers will attempt to conquer new territories and use diplomatic reasoning while gathering new recruits to build their army's strength, as they try to reach the legendary title of Shogun. The touch screen will allow players to map strategic battle plans, as well as play several mini-games including duels, castle sieges, and sea battles.
Namco Hometek's Business Director, Jeff Lujan, spoke about Shogun Warrior: "With its touch screen and wireless multiplayer capabilities, the Nintendo DS is uniquely suited to excel at real-time strategy games. Shogun Warrior fully embraces these features to deliver an all new and innovative gameplay experience to handheld gamers, while offering a rich and vibrant interpretation of feudal Japan."
Shogun Warrior: the Lost Army is expected to release in October.
