Superscape Licenses Tira Jump 2007
Tira Wireless announced today that 3D Mobile Games developer/publisher Superscape has licensed the Tira Jump 2007 Platform to facilitate its porting, optimization, and deployment operation. Tira's porting platform is also used by Sony Pictures Digital and THQ Wireless, among other mobile game publishers.
"This license agreement deepens and extends our existing relationship with Superscape," Doug Barre, CEO of Tira Wireless said in a statement. "By licensing Tira Jump for in-house deployment, Superscape is providing its dedicated deployment team with all the tools it requires to bring new titles to market faster, while extending its reach to global audiences more cost effectively."
The Tira Jump Platform is intended to "standardize deployment processes and more readily address the challenges of content deployment on a global scale." Porting is arguably the largest hurdle facing mobile game developers - in-house manual porting operations are generally more time-consuming and manpower-intensive than the semi-automated porting processes that Tira offers, although it allows for a greater degree of quality control.
"Tira Jump fills a gap as we complete our move to bring all our porting initiatives in-house and streamline our processes. It empowers us to cut costs, gain even greater control over our deployment processes, and further accelerate our time to market. All of these are essential steps in maintaining our ranking as one of the top ten publishers of mobile content," Superscape's VP of Deployment and QA Stephane Groud commented.
