Crash Tag Team Racing Announced for DS
Wireless multiplayer racing and lots of firepower...
Vivendi Universal Games announced today that Crash Tag Team Racing is in development for the Nintendo DS. Developed by Radical Entertainment, the creators of Sensory Sweep on the DS, this latest racing incarnation of the popular Crash Bandicoot franchise will feature a unique car fusing system with all-new "clashing" technology
Combining cars with an opponent mid-race will result in a turret mounted super-car. Similar to Mario Kart: Double Dash!! on the GameCube, players can choose to either be the driver of the vehicle, or get behind and take control of a powerful weapon. Each character will have their own unique type of firearm, all capable of 360 degrees of rotation.
Players will be able to get out of their car before and after races to explore the world on foot. There is a large variety of hidden upgrades scattered throughout each area, as well as a number of bonus tracks available to be unlocked.
The game will also take advantage of the Nintendo DS's wireless functions, allowing multiplayer supporting up to 4 people.
Crash Tag Team Racing will be available at retail this Fall.
