Vivendi and Nokia to Offer New Line-Up of Mobile Games
One small step for man. One giant leap for corporate partnerships.
Vivendi Games Mobile announced today that it has reached an agreement with Nokia to distribute its new line-up of mobile games through Nokia Catalogues and the new Download! Service that will allow users with Nokia handsets to download new games as well as additional content like wallpapers and ring tones. This agreement marks another big step forward in the Vivendi/Nokia partnership following their announcement of it earlier this year.
"The challenge in the mobile games value chain is not only to make great games and attract customers, but also in the effective merchandising of games and the ease with which consumers can find, purchase, and download games," said Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile. "Nokia has met this challenge by providing visibility and easy access to great content via Download!. The end result is a new and promising distribution channel that creates further 'impulse buy' opportunities for our titles and also allows customers to enjoy the best mobile games on demand."
The line-up will include titles such as, Brain Shock, Delta Force, The Bourne Ultimatum, Eragon, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night and Urban Attack. Vivendi promises a constant stream of fresh content and promotions through their mobile games catalogues, which have recently been launched in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Russian Federation, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine and the U.S. Catalogues in an additional 25 countries are expected to be made available soon.
