Hovr and Times Internet Limited Brings Ad-supported Mobile Games to India
Hovr Going Bollywood
Hovr and Times Internet Limited announced today that they have partnered up to bring free mobile games to India.
The free ad-supported games will be provided by Hovr. With games like 3D Badminton, Hardy Dave, Jacado Klondike Solitaire, Splash Bomb and Spider Solitaire under their belt, the up-and-coming mobile publisher will be expanding their games to India.
They won't be going at it alone. Any good businessman will tell you that in order to be successful in a foreign country, you will have to cater to the locals in some way. That is where Times Internet Limited enters.
"Partnering with the most innovative mobile and entertainment company in India, TIL, furthers Hovr's goal of leveraging our white-label ad-supported mobile gaming solution to drive the mass market adoption of mobile gaming in one of the largest and fastest growing mobile markets in the world," said Deepak Gupta, VP of Business Development at Hovr.
Times Internet Limited is a subsidiary to The Times Group, one of the most respected businesses in India with 168 years of existence. Not a bad partner, eh?
Together, Hovr and Times Internet Limited created GameZone, a new mobile service which will provide free downloadable games to the tens of millions mobile subscribers in India. A beta of GameZone launched in December of last year and was greatly successful. In the first month alone, GameZone raked in hundreds of thousands of new users. With a potential market as big as India, the partnership seems like a win-win situation for both companies.
