Vivendi Mobile Releases Sequel to Pub Darts
All that's missing is a picture of your mortal enemy.
Developed and published by the independent UK-based IOMO, the original Pub Darts was a casual gaming hit that successfully recreated the relaxing atmosphere of tossing darts in a quaint little English pub (or as well as such a simple mobile game can anyway). The 2004 title became a best-seller in its native UK and across the rest of Europe, prompting Vivendi Mobile to take notice of the indy release and arrange for a sequel to be made down the road.
The game is titled, Pub Darts 180 and should be available for download as we speak. While the game is still being published by IOMO, the coders behind the first game have formed their own development team, FinBlade, and will be credited as such. The hot seat multiplayer mode of the original will return along with a host of new selectable characters, options and challenges. Not sure what the 180's supposed to mean. Is it too much to hope for a boomerang dart of some kind? I'm sure there'd be plenty of bar room fun with that one (and likely a couple missing eyes).
"It's great to see Pub Darts returning to the marketplace," said John Chasey, president of FinBlade. "And with the fantastic support of Vivendi Games Mobile, we look forward to the game exceeding the success and expectations of fans of the original."
