My Weight Loss Coach Coming to Nintendo DS
Who needs gyms?
Ubisoft announced today that they will be publishing the latest addition to the My Coach brand: My Weight Loss Coach. It will be the third game for the casual brand, joining My Word Coach, My French Coach and My Spanish Coach.
The game will have several key features including personal profiles, input reward system, a pedometer accessory that can measure your walking distance against landmarks and educational mini-games (quizzes, sessions, and challenges) based on weight loss. My Weight Loss Coach was developed with the help of a fitness coach and a nutritionist; so you only have yourself to blame if the scales doesn't tip your way.
"My Weight Loss Coach allows us to approach casual gamers with something innovative," said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. "The game creates customized coaching sessions based on skill level, and, for the first time on DS, includes a pedometer. My Weight Loss Coach not only allows users to take control of their physical well-being, but it does so in a fun and engaging manner."
Targeted for people "who have difficulties reaching and maintaining their target weight because of lack of motivation, time or daily life constraints," as Ubisoft kindly puts it, My Weight Loss Coach will be available in the summer. In other words, it will be released just in time to leech off the hype of Wii Fit.
