Sega's Bleach Sequel is Coming to the States
"Miracles only happen once." "And what are they the second time?"
Coming off the critical, and sales, success of the first Bleach game, Sega will be localizing Bleach: Dark Souls for a North American release this summer. Developed by Treasure, the original was a surprisingly solid and deep 2D fighter that did incredible justice to its source material. As a useless bit of trivia, it was also the first fighting game Treasure's worked on since their four player version of Yu Yu Hakusho Makyoutoissen on the Sega Genesis.
This sequel will feature:
-A unique storyline that takes place in between the first and second season of the anime
-44 playable characters, including fan favorites Kisuke Urahara and Rangiku Matsumoto along with hollows like Menos Grande and Grand Fisher
-New moves for older characters
-30 new power-up cards and power crystals, as well as the ability to store four cards instead of two
-A Bleach encyclopedia that will allow fans to binge on all sorts of random series facts.
-An improved wi-fi mode that will make online match-making easier
