Addtional Final Fantasy Tactics A2 Details Revealed
No ruby slippers to help you this time.
The game's finally got an official release date, and is set to hit our shores on June 24.
The story's similar to the first game where a bratty little kid gets stuck rotting in detention even though school's out for the summer. He wanders into the school library only to stumble upon an ancient book that transports him to the fantasy realm of Ivalice. It's not a tranquil forest or a friendly village that he lands in, though, but a chaotic battlefield. From there, he joins Cid's army and sets off to find a way to get back home.
Three heroes from Final Fantasy XII will be present including Vaan, Penelo and Al-Cid, and there will be 400 available quests along with a new clan system. This system is similar to the much-hated "judgement" system of the first game. Each clan has its own judge, and these judges will enforce their own individual clan laws. The upside is that you can choose not to restrict yourself to their rules, but you won't be able to resurrect any dead clan members if you go this route. This is how it should've been in the first game, an optional challenge for those who want a bonus.
