Cruise Control Takes You On A Neon Trip To The '80s
The '80s were truly a time to be alive. I wouldn't actually know since I was born in 1989, but I can definitely surmise how awesome they were. Just look at films like Drive and games like Hotline Miami and that's all you need to know! Then check out Cruise Control, which is available right now in the App Store.
Cruise Control finds you careening down the highway in neon-drenched landscapes as you desperately try to keep your car on the road without running into obstacles. You're not actually driving straight on the road as it is, and you've got to actively steer your car to make sure you don't run into literally everything in your path. There's a whole lot of veering off to the left and right to be had, but it's a lot of fun. There's also a ton of power-ups to help keep you on the right path.
The game's available for free, but you can pay to disable ads and earn additional coins. It's worth trying out even if you're just doing so for Cruise Control's aesthetic. And we haven't even talked about the music just yet. That's a whole other story. Seriously...it's good.
