How to Save in Pokemon Sun and Moon
Simple? Probably. Important? Ridiculously so.
Pokemon Sun and Moon are large, sprawling games. You'll obviously need to play them in stages, even if you're a heavy user of your 3DS or 2DS's sleep/suspend feature. It's simply not feasible for you to stay awake and play through over and over and over. Plus, you might want to experiment here and there and have saved data to fall back on.
While it's largely the same process (pretty much exactly, if we're being honest) as the previous games, if you're new to the series you're definitely going to want to know how to save. To save, you must first get past the first opening segments of the game, where you cannot open your menu and do so until the game allows you to do so. Perhaps the best time to come to a stopping point where you're allowed to go ahead and catch your first Pokemon, which isn't long after selecting a starter out of Rowlet, Popplio, and Litten.
Simply open up the menu, select "save" and let the magic happen. You can save virtually anywhere, but make sure you don't tamper with the cartridge, turn the game off, or do anything silly like that if you want the data to be preserved. That's it! Congratulations! You've done it!
