Tim Cook to iPhone 7 Owners: 'AirPods Coming in Next Few Weeks'
There may not be that much longer to go...
Every so often a customer will reach out to someone like Tim Cook (and Steve Jobs in the past) and the Apple CEO will respond in turn. That's the very thing that happened to one lucky Apple fan, who supposedly wrote in a brief message about having "bought in" to the company's wireless vision, namely the upcoming AirPods. After asking for additional information about the AirPods, Cook responded with a message of his own:
"Thanks for the not. Sorry for the delay —we are finalizing them and I anticipate we will begin to ship over the next few weeks."
Of course, anyone can claim to have received email from Cook, though it appears that MacRumors has supposedly verified that the email was true, even though messages like these can indeed be faked. It's yet to be seen if the AirPods will indeed be shipping in the next few weeks, but it's certainly great news if that does seem to be the case. Having just adopted a new iPhone 7 Plus, I'm interested in switching over to the new AirPods instead of just carting around my Beats over-the-ear headphones.
