The Pokemon Company and Niantic Teasing Pokemon Go Announcement
The Pokemon Company has just come forward with some very special news for Pokemon Go fans: Both Niantic and The Pokemon Company will be announcing a round of new additions to the game come December 12.
It's great to see some sort of official acknowledgement considering the rumors that have been flying over the past few days, even though this is a teaser officially from The Pokemon Company itself.
This announcement comes hot on the heels of a supposed Starbucks event, where the company is reportedly running some sort of Pokemon Go-specific event with supposed new Pokemon in the next week or so, alongside a newly-branded Pokemon Go beverage available at Starbucks locations, which should all be turned into Poke Stops.
This also comes after the news that Sprint stores will become special Pokemon Go hubs in the future, with Sprint stores acting as Pokemon Go gyms and special Pokemon destinations. That means over 10,500 Sprint, Boost Mobile and Sprint-RadioShack stores will be turned into various Poke Stops and other locales. This will go into effect on December 12.
There's a whole new world of Pokemon Go coming, months after release, and hopefully it means a whole new bushel of both new Pokemon and other things to do in-game soon. It's been in dire need of an update for some time now, so we'll have to just wait and see. Are you still playing Pokemon Go?
