A Mysty Getaway for North American Gamers
That early morning myst
Not quite as sinister as the mist from the 2007 thriller, but equally all encompassing, Myst has arrived once again on North American shores. Like that cold virus that just keeps coming back, Myst refuses to let itself be forgotten, going through just enough of a metamorphisis to avoid becoming another retail casualty.
The addition of the game's Rime Age and a new touch-screen interface should make the experience more fresh for old timers, while making the game more accessible to those who prefer their point-and-click to involve a little more point and a lot less click.
"Myst has been an inspiration to game developers and Hollywood writers for some time now," said Karim Farghaly, Vice President of Sales, Empire Interactive. "It will surely continue to inspire everything from video games to hit television shows for years to come, as new generations of gamers begin their mysterious journey on Nintendo DS."
"We took great pleasure in re-creating such a well-known game for DS," said Manny Granillo, President, Hoplite Research, LLC. "Myst already has a dedicated fanbase and they will not be disappointed with the portable version of the original classic adventure."
