Lenovo's Smart Assistant Is A Cheaper, More Attractive Amazon Echo
Lenovo has introduced a brand new product in the form of its Smart Assistant, a special speaker that includes Amazon’s virtual assistant Alexa already built in. The Lenovo Smart Assistant is expected to make its debut at this year’s CES 2017, which is kicking off tomorrow, January 5th.
The Smart Assistant looks a whole lot like the Amazon Echo with bits of Google Home sprinkled in for good measure, and it will work much in the same way as the Echo does. You’ll be able to work with Alexa to play music, read your news for the day, start playing videos, and all of those other fun smart home-centric activities that come with virtual assistants.
The Smart Assistants come in varying colors, including a special Harman Kardon edition, which will be more expensive due to its premium sound option since the regular standard edition doesn’t have the greatest speakers out of all the virtual assistant. They’re going to begin shipping in May 2017 for $130, which is $50 less than the Amazon echo. If you choose the Harman Kardon version, you’ll need to pay $180.
It’s an interesting, attractive version of Amazon Echo that might well be the option for buyers looking for something a little different from the norm.
