CES 2017: Hyundai's Blue Link Service Will Begin Using Google Assistant
Google's Assistant service will soon be a part of Blue Link's repertoire of services.
Hyundai previously rolled out the Android Auto service back in 2015, and now the company is tackling a new frontier for its Blue Link connected car service. Hyundai is planning on utilizing Google Assistant integration for its Blue Link-integrated vehicles.
Hyundai cars can use Blue Link for remote locking and unlocking as well as climate control, which is mapped to the official Blue Link app for either Android or iOS devices. It can also work with Google Maps at the moment and supports roadside assistance.
Google Assistant will provide the ability for owners to give voice commands when it comes to controlling parts of their car, such as temperature, directions, and other various options that will be a boon for anyone who needs hands-free controls while driving. This should be a fantastic option that will hopefully decrease traffic accidents from distracted drivers and improve the way we interact with our smart cars going forward.
