Developer Event Horizon Showcases Combat In Latest Tower Of Time Trailer
Tower of Time's combat looks to be hitting all the right notes.
The word "ambitious" isn't something that's often used to describe mobile games, but in the case of Tower of Time, the upcoming RPG title from Polish developer Event Horizon, it's hard to think of anything more appropriate. Tower of Time is a colossal effort on behalf of the development team — a game they've likened to both Dragon Age Origins and the Wizardry series — that aims to provide 20 to 30 hours of gameplay. And, with the game's release window edging ever closer, Event Horizon has released a new trailer showing off what to expect from Tower of Time's combat.
The trailer shows a number of strategic options players will find useful: spell walls can be cast to constrain enemies to certain areas of the map, which is useful for ranged characters like the Marksman to pop off shots from relative safety. The Shieldguard character also seems to be able to draw aggression from enemies toward himself, while the Druid can cast area-of-effect spells and summon healing totems.
Tower of Time looks to hit all the marks players would expect from big-studio games, and that's surprising not only because of the title's mobile platform, but also because it will be the debut release from Event Horizon. As far as ambition is concerned, then, it's safe to say the team is on the right track. Players can look forward to checking out Tower of Time when it releases sometime in the second quarter of 2017.
