Pokémon Go Downloads Reach 650 Million
Still going strong, catching em all!
It wasn’t that long ago during the summer that everyone that you saw had their phone out playing Pokémon Go. It didn’t matter where they were; they were trying just trying to catch em all! They could have been on the beach or in their car.(both of which I saw) At the time, it looked like everyone wanted that something to grab onto and it was Pokémon Go. However, Pokémon Go was the thing we needed to get us through the doldrums of the summer but it faded after that but it one could say with the addition of the Johto region Pocket Monsters, the game is back for a refreshed feel.
The mobile game has been downloaded more than 650 million times but as stated that number is inflated by a huge starting point of 500 million in the first two or so months. Google Developer Day at GDC was the home for the reveal of this information. Niantic feels that they are sticking it out with Pokémon Go and is proud of how their game has gotten people moving/walking around.(Via Gamesindustry.biz)
