Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons: How to pair Joy-Con controllers with the Nintendo Switch
When you take your Joy-Con controllers out of the box, simply slide them into place on both sides of your Nintendo Switch unit. It's not difficult to figure out which side goes where -- just align both Joy-Cons correctly and snap them into place. They should sync properly shortly. You'll see the green lights on the Joy-Con controllers flash if you've done this correctly.
Alternatively, go over to the Controllers menu section in the Settings menu on the home screen of your Nintendo Switch.
