Disney Announces New Disney Crossy Road Product Line
Players will soon be able to scoop up 8-bit figurines of classic Disney characters.
Disney came across some surprising success with their hit mobile title Disney Crossy Road, a Frogger-esque Android and iOS game that sees Disney characters jumping and dodging their way through perilous road traffic. The title has been downloaded over 31 million times, which has lead inexorably to the company's involvement with a new series of toys based on the game.
The new product line comes from a collaboration that sees Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media joining together with Moose Toys, and will encompass the likes of 6" plush dolls, mini-figures, and keychain-type toys called hangers. All together, six different plush figures and 12 different hangers will be available for consumers to purchase, and the toys are set to see likenesses of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Buzz Lightyear, Simba, Baymax, and other iconic characters.
The toys and figures are set to land at retailers like Toys 'R' Us, Wal*Mart, and Target on April 1, with likely Amazon listings soon to follow.
